Youth Artist Internship Opportunity
in Public Art
Are you a passionate young artist between 18-26 years old residing in the Pomona Valley area? We invite you to apply for the Mentoring Arts and Culture, Art in Public Places program in collaboration with the City of Pomona.
Program Overview: Join us for a transformative 6-month journey where you'll dive into the world of public art. This unique opportunity empowers art students to develop essential skills in navigating Public Art Proposals, budgeting, community outreach, networking with fellow artists, and the art of producing impactful public murals.
Gain hands-on experience in crafting and presenting Public Art Proposals.
Learn effective budgeting techniques for art projects.
Engage in community outreach initiatives to connect your art with the public.
Network with established artists and expand your artistic community.
Acquire practical skills in mural production.
Incentives: Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a $600 educational stipend. This stipend is not just a reward but an investment in your growth as an artist.
Eligibility: We are looking for 2 local youth artists passionate about contributing to the vibrant artistic landscape of the Pomona Valley area.
